Thread 7 Submission Contest Rules

Thread 7 is hosting a submission contest! Here is what you need to know:

You can pay $5 to enter a submission in one of three categories: Written Works, Paintings/Drawings/Sculptures, and Photographs. Submissions will be voted on in order to win a cash prize. There are prizes for 1st Place in each category, 2nd Place in each category, 3rd Place in each category, and Best Submission from Weld County. The prizes are as follows:

1st Place: $100

2nd Place: $50

3rd Place: $25

Best of Weld County: $50

Submissions are required to adhere to the following criteria in order to be accepted:

• Must be an original work

• Must have been created within the last year

• Written Works have a word limit of 1000 words

• Submissions must be clear and are acceptable in the following file types: pdf, doc, docx, jpg, jpeg, and png

• Submissions must be less than 25 megabytes

• Submission deadline is AUGUST 31ST

When Submitting:

• Please use your Legal Name. An Alias may be included in quotations.

• You will be asked to provide your Email Address, specify submission category, provide a title, a description/statement, and place of residence.

• Residence within or out of Weld County will not affect a Submission’s chances of earning a reward, with the exception of the Best of Weld County Award. 

Thread 7 indefinitely retains the rights to publish, display, use, and otherwise manipulate submitted works. Thread 7 may not resell submitted works outside of publishing and distribution of compiled works, i.e. a printed booklet of all accepted works. The original submitter retains the rights to sell, display, share, and publish their submitted works.
